Do you know who can see your child’s instagram posts? If you haven’t checked, those posts are probably open to the entire world. In today’s video, learn how you can limit their account to only people that have been approved. This post is essential for anyone letting their child have an Instagram account.
Instagram is one of the fastest growing social networks. Today, we’re gonna look into Instagram’s privacy settings. This allows you to control who can see and comment on your child’s posts. Let’s jump in.
Within Instagram, there is one setting that affects who can see your content. This setting can be found from our account settings. It’s important to note that unless this private account setting is turned on, anyone can see your content. To enable the private account setting, navigate to your profile by selecting your profile icon. Next, select the gear button to change your account settings. From this next screen, you will need to make sure that the private account option is set to on. Once this setting is enabled, no one will be able to follow your user or see your content without you approving their access. Anyone who is already following you will still have access to your account unless they are blocked.
To block a user, click on their user name. Next, select the button in the top right. From here, you can select the block option. This will make sure that they do not see any of your content. To unblock a user, follow the same process and select the unblock option. With these settings in place, you can have complete control over who can see the content that you or your child place on Instagram. While users can still message you directly, even if you have a private account, you can still use the block option to remove that access from users as well.
